Inspired by small details within everyday things that catch her imagination, Natasha Matveenkova uses layers of brilliant color and unconventional textures to recreate these shapes into paintings that come alive and, are experienced by more than the eyes alone.

Natasha has a unique approach to her style, playing with shapes, forms and unusual tools. As an artist with insatiable curiosity and love for experimentation, she adds an entirely new dimension to her paintings by scratching wet oil with a tool as unlikely as a screwdriver, to make her paintings more dynamic and alive.

Having begun her art career in 2002, Natasha is driven by her passion to create. As she seamlessly transitions from abstract to figurative styles, Natasha demonstrates her multidimensional talents, while working in a variety of mediums and subject matter, and employing a wide spectrum of art expression. Originally from Siberia, the Arizona-based artist finds that one of the great rewards for her work is to see the smiles on people's faces as they look at, and touch, her art.

Natasha's work has been shown at a variety of galleries, exhibits and events nationwide, a number of which have sold out. Continually enchanting viewers with her thought provoking originality, Natasha Matveenkova's art continues to establish its position within numerous collections.
